CALIBRATION WEIGHTS

Calibration weights are precision weights used to calibrate weighing instruments and ensure accurate measurements. They are manufactured to very high tolerances, ensuring that they are as precise and accurate as possible. Additionally, they are typically made from materials that are resistant to corrosion and wear, such as stainless steel or brass to ensure they maintain their accuracy over time. They are considered an essential tool in a wide range of applications including scientific research and industrial manufacturing and are available in a variety of types and classes to suit different needs. Calibration weights enable you to ensure that your weighing instruments are measuring accurately as over time instruments can experience drift, which means that they may no longer be measuring accurately. Using calibration weights allows you to detect and correct any inaccuracies in your weighing instruments, ensuring that you can rely on them for accurate measurements.

There are several types of calibration weights available, including individual weights and weight sets. Individual weights are single precision weights that are used to calibrate specific instruments, while weight sets typically include a range of weights of different sizes and values, allowing you to calibrate a wider range of instruments. Calibration weights are classified based on their accuracy and tolerance levels. The most common classes of calibration weights are Class F, Class E1, Class E2, Class M1 (used for the most demanding applications like pharmaceutical or aerospace industries).

ANALYTICAL BALANCE

Analytical balances are extremely accurate laboratory balances created to precisely measure the mass of an object. Offering a readability up to 0.00001 grams (0.01 mg), analytical balances are frequently used in laboratories. Providing such accurate measurement means that the balance is highly sensitive.  Analytical balances are therefore designed with draft shields to provide protection from external environments such as air flows and dust which might affect the precision.

BENCH SCALE

A bench scale, sometimes known as a bench-top scale or a compact scale, is a small weighing device that is specifically designed to be used on a bench, worktop or any smaller space. They are easy-to-use and offer quick and simple weighing solutions for a wide variety of environments and industries. They can come with a range of different features, including parts counting, checkweighing, or percentage weighing, and can be IP-Rated to protect against liquid or solid ingress.

Most bench scales come with an integrated display and keypad, whilst some can come with a detachable indicator that can be mounted elsewhere.

PLATFORM SCALE

A platform scale is a weighing device that consists of one or two metal plates that hold items to be weighed and can have a smooth or diamond surface. They are heavy duty simple tools that are very sturdy with a high capacity and come in a wide range of sizes, capacities, styles, and models in order to meet the needs of a variety of industries.

The low profile of platform scales makes it possible to weigh pallets, animals, large loads, or individual crates and boxes. The material to be weighed is placed on the scale.

The function of the platform is to transmit the weight of the object to the internal measuring device and to support the object during weighing. Several types of devices can be installed within the platform scale to aid in the calculation of weight. There is a wide range of platform scale designs, sizes, and load capacities available depending on the needs of the customer or the user.

CRANE SCALE

Crane scale is a piece of heavy-duty equipment used for lifting large items, including awkward-shaped items (ones that are hard to balance on a platform scale). They have maximum capacities making them an ultimate option for harsh operating environments. Some of the examples include factories, warehouses, fishing ports, construction sites, etc.

These scales are connected to a digital load cell. It is used for converting weight, load, pressure, compression, and tension into an output signal that can be measured and recorded.
